I was born into a family where creativity and artistry were a part of everyday life. I’ve always been bold – both as a person and as a designer. I might wake up in the middle of the night with an idea and think, “Wow, that would be amazing.”

I adore colors, which almost always take center stage in my jewelry. I’m also fascinated by the contrasts between colors and different materials, and I continuously strive to find new, bold ways to express these contrasts in my designs. The world is full of beauty – and that endless beauty is something I want to tap into in my work, inspired by ever-changing themes. I love sitting in a café and watching people’s style and their jewelry – I often get new ideas from just observing.

I’m a fifth-generation goldsmith, even though crafting the jewelry itself never really spoke to me. Instead, I found my place at the designer’s table – and honestly, it’s wonderful to get to design something uniquely suited for each of my clients. Designing one-of-a-kind jewelry has become my greatest strength and the cornerstone of my professional identity. I’m grateful to my clients who have encouraged and thanked me along the way. I graduated as a certified gemologist in Germany in 1984 at the age of 16. Courage took me out into the world, and from Germany, I went straight to Japan, whereas a young woman I had the opportunity to learn about pearl cultivation. Over the years, my expertise in pearls has only grown, and they remain one of my favorite subjects. The freedom my father gave me has been a significant part of my career, as it allowed my creativity to flourish. I believe it’s essential that our employees have the same opportunity for self-expression, and I truly admire their skill and ability to bring even my wildest ideas to life.
