These sapphires are ethically sourced in Madagascar, where the rough stones are brought in by artisanal miners to the local marketplace. From there, the rough stones are sent to Sri Lanka for cutting, with the cutting factory located in Kuruwita, near Rathnapura. After cutting, the sapphires travel to Copenhagen, where Tina and Jenny carefully select them—today they are featured in these earrings.
